This painting is the story of my journey through breast cancer. The painting was conceived and started before my diagnosis and was finished after my treatment was mostly complete. It began as a weakly rooted tree with no leaves leaning over a bleak and barren scene, but in completion became an extension of the rock where it grows, with filling leaves, growing back to health with strength.
