One Wish
One Wish
Abstract painting by layers of plaster gauze under latex paint. Depicts the one wish of cancer patients: to get better. Texture is rough, yet glossy in large pixel area and where the layers of plaster gauze break and red seeps through. This painting is a metaphor for the unknown factor of cancer - whether the treatment and support of loved ones will ultimately be enough to force survival. References artist's own struggle with breast cancer.
