This abstract latex on canvas is a tribute to my late Grandmother, Thora Dow Wells (1919 - 2001), whom I knew best as small child. The upstairs bathroom of her home had been decorated this swampy-sunny blue-green color pallette, and while painting this, my mind identified this as the same colors (from waaay back!) From there on out, the work was composed with thoughts of her all around. Of course, the painting maintains my contemporary informatic aesthetic in abstraction, but Thora is all around this one.
